Get to Know Dr. Kindel Bailey

Dr. Kindel Bailey grew up in Banks, OR, and has been passionate about dentistry for as long as she can remember. With several years of experience in the field, she enjoys making an immediate difference in her patients’ health and confidence. She loves the variety in her work, whether performing restorative procedures, esthetic treatments, or helping patients maintain long-term oral health. Her attention to detail and care for her patients reflect her lifelong love of hands-on, precise work combined with a fascination for science.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Bailey decided to become a dentist in second grade after positive experiences with her own dentist. Growing up with parents who were homebuilders and engineers, she was drawn to detailed, hands-on projects, and she developed a strong interest in science, especially microbiology. Dentistry combines both passions, allowing her to understand the bacteria that affect oral health while using skill and precision to restore and strengthen teeth.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Bailey earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University and also completed a one-year general practice residency there. Before dental school, she attended Oregon State University and gained practical experience as a sterile tech and dental assistant. She is also a proud and active member of several professional affiliations, including the:

  • Portland Study Club

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Outside of work, Dr. Bailey enjoys hiking, camping, foraging, and fishing, as well as exploring Portland, trying new restaurants, and experimenting in the kitchen with cooking and baking. At home, she gardens, crafts, and tackles DIY projects. She loves to travel and experience new places, foods, and cultures, and enjoys relaxing, reading, or playing video games with her partner and friends. They also have a cat who is trained to use the toilet. One other fun fact about her is that she was a javelin thrower on the Oregon State University track and field team!
