Brenda – Registered Dental Hygienist
Brenda has nearly a decade of experience in the dental field, working as a dental assistant before completing her dental hygiene degree at Pacific University. One of her favorite aspects of being a dental hygienist is being able to have a lasting impact on her patients’ oral health and confidence. She believes preventive dentistry is critical to her patients’ overall health, which is why she finds providing personalized education so fulfilling.
Brenda’s family consists of her husband, their cat, Remi, and their dog, Brix. Whenever she isn’t at the dental office, she enjoys spending time thrifting and finding décor and plants for her house. She also loves reading books, with her favorite genres being romance, thrillers, and sci-fi, as well as watching movies.
Shandi – Registered Dental Hygienist
Shandi has been with our team at Pacific Oak Dental for over a year now, and our patients love her! She completed attended Pacific University and Portland State University, and she’s currently attending Brown for her Master of Public Health. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is being able to support her patients in maintaining good overall health. She also loves building relationships with her patients and seeing the impact that good oral hygiene can have on their lives.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Shandi lives with her fiancé and their two Pomeranians. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, taking road trips to national parks, and spending time with her friends. An interesting fact about Shandi is that she was in the U.S. Navy for six years, which allowed her to travel the globe!
Shandy – Dental Hygienist
Shandy has been a part of our dental team for over a decade now, and there’s nothing more she enjoys about her role than being able to build strong, trusting relationships with patients. She studied hygiene at Oregon Tech and still undergoes 36 hours of CE credits every two years to stay up to date with the latest developments in the dental field.
A Hillsboro native, Shandy is happily married to her high school sweetheart. Together, they have three children and a bulldog. Some of her favorite hobbies in her free time include gardening, listening to audio books, cooking, biking, and running. In fact, she recently completed a sprint triathlon!
Emily—Dental Hygienist
Emily says that her days consist of conversing with patients and helping them live healthier lives one appointment and one cleaning at a time. She wouldn’t have it any other way! A graduate of Pacific University, she spent four years at an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) providing care in and around the Columbia River Gorge, and has certifications in local anesthetic, nitrous, and expanded functions.
Originally from The Dalles/Hood River (where her family still resides), she and her longtime partner now call the Yamhill area home. She loves to be outside, whether that be hiking, mountain/gravel biking, skiing, paddling, or playing pickleball or golf. She also has plenty of hobbies that involve being inside, such as reading, crocheting, and baking (ask her about her most recent bread!).
