Same-Day Dental Crowns Forest Grove
A Better Result in Less Time

Dental crowns are just about the most versatile dental restorations out there; however, one drawback they have is the fact that, traditionally, it takes multiple appointments to receive one. CEREC can greatly shorten this thanks to computer-assisted technology and an in-house milling machine. Now, we can plan and place your dental crown in a single appointment. What are CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns?

CEREC stands for “Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic.” Using advanced digital imaging technology, we can design and create these dental crowns right here in our office, without the need for messy impressions, temporary crowns, or return appointments. Made from durable, tooth-colored ceramic materials, CEREC crowns blend in beautifully with the other teeth and restore full function almost immediately.
The Same-Day Dental Crown Process

The CEREC same-day crown process begins with a quick digital scan of your mouth – no messy physical impressions needed at all. This scan captures a precise 3D image of the tooth, and it’s viewable and manipulable on a nearby monitor. Using this model, we can design your custom crown right here in our office before your very eyes. Then, using our in-house milling machine, the crown is crafted usually in about an hour or two. It’s made from high-quality materials that are durable and able to be shaded to match your tooth perfectly. Once it’s ready, we’ll bond the crown securely in place, ensuring a perfect fit.
The Benefits of CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns vs. Traditional Crowns

CEREC crowns hold many advantages over their traditional counterparts, such as:
- With CEREC, there’s no need for messy, foul-tasting impressions, which leave a fair margin for error to begin with. Instead, precise digital imaging technology is used, which is notably more comfortable for the patient.
- CEREC removes temporary crowns from the process altogether as well as the need for multiple visits spread out over weeks – everything can be done during one single appointment.
- CEREC might seem like it’d be more expensive than traditional crowns, but since less labor is involved, impression materials aren’t needed, and other aspects of the process are streamlined, it’s generally a cost-effective solution.
